Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

And another 10 rows, slow but steady.

Spent some time pulling up weedlings from my seed bed, plucking them with tweezers because although I have tiny fingers, pulling tiny weeds from around an interesting seeding is delicate work. Pulled a lot of weeds from a small area, but there are a lot still growing. Still, there are little seedlings that look like they might not be weeds. Too soon to tell yet, but I'm cautiously hopeful, if I can keep on top of the weedlings.

More cross stitch tonight. What I’m learning from counted cross stitch is that I can’t count. Ha ha. I even have 10x10 grids drawn on the aida cloth! Or maybe I’m just not paying enough attention...

Getting weary of this project again, mostly it’s the immensity of it. It feels like even putting hours upon hours into it, I don’t really make much progress. I don’t need instant gratification, but I don’t like to be in a WIP for years. I’m looking forward to having a new, less ambitious kit to work on when my crewelwork kit arrives (and the baby dragon can go back into hibernation for another year. Ha ha).

Big projects can seem to drag on, which is why it's a good idea to take breaks from them and do other things. You'll finish the dragon eventually.

I crocheted! I've not done that before. I have produced a couple of lap blankets, intended for donation to the local hospital's dementia ward - when they start taking donations again, that is. One felt a bit small and needed a stable edge, so I looked up double crochet on YouTube and had a go. Couldn't be bothered to look up how to go round corners so I improvised. It's all very satisfactory! I might even have to make a crocheted stripe mini-blanket next.
