Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

10 rows on the sweater.

Also sowed some seeds in propagators outside my back door. They're old seeds, but I'm hoping for something.

What kinds of seeds? Yay sweater!

Ummm.... Agapanthus hybrids, which could take months to come up if they do at all. French marigolds and dwarf sunflowers, the rest of the seeds from an open packet of sedum coccineum, Hollyhocks, yellow Carolina Lupins, yellow Alyssum, which is a perennial kind of Alyssum, and helianthemum (rock roses).

I might be able to set up another propagator or two, I'm going to look into that later today. Then I'll have to decide what else to sow.

I realize I haven't checked in in forever. Haven't knitted in forever, either. But I'm still here!

Yay! *waves* Crafting is like that. Then the bug bites again, or life slows down, and before you know it you're crafting again.

I finally finished plying the yarn! It’s still all waiting on the bobbin for the next step (wound off and washed/set), but the actual plying is done and the next doesn’t really need to happen until I want to use the wool/get it off the bobbin XD

WOOHOO! Congratulations! Does this mean you can start experimenting with other threads?

Yes, although I really wanted more hands on experience with crewelwork embroidery (which used wool) before I tried to spin my own.

Tonight I have started that direction by ordering a basic crewelwork embroidery kit ^_^ It’s of an owl, which as you might guess from my username is a thing of significance.

Owls are my favourite birds, I've had my photo taken with several. My favourite was Galadriel, a Great Grey Owl.
