Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: Where do you do most of your crafting?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Washed and did a heavy starch of the final doily to be cleaned - it's one I made when I was a teenager and my grandma framed it.

I do most of my crafting in a reclining loveseat. One side for me, one side for dogs. I sometimes put my project basket on the other side with the dog or on the floor, depending.

Yes, I'll put it back in the same frame.

Sounds comfy indeed. I do most of my crafting sitting at my desk; necessary for paper crafts, practical for textile crafts but definitely not comfy.

That is one thing for crochet - the recliner is completely fine.

Good grief, what a day! You definitely need a bit of rest.

Oh no! What a mess! I'm glad you caught it, but boo at having to open windows when spring still hasn't fully sprung in many parts of the world. I hope the smell dissipates soon!

I finished the mini teddy, made the faces of two more of them and cut out the panels for another seven; I'll make those whenever I feel like. There are still seven months till the Christmas fair.

Full teddy assembly line now!

What were your cookie type totals this time?

I cast on and knit the bottom ribbing and lace portion of a lacy cup cozy. I'm not liking how it's turning out, though, so I put it to the side one DPN into the top ribbing. Might finish it, might not. This was a test for a potential class project. I'm definitely going to be teaching knitting again! :D I spent most of Saturday emailing back and forth with the art director, making plans for the first class.

I also spent some time rewriting instructions for another potential class project. It's mosaic knitting and I felt the pattern wasn't written as clearly as it could be. Probably going to cast on for that tonight or tomorrow. It's a coaster so should be a fun and quick project.

This Week's Question: Where do you do most of your crafting?

I used to sit on my bed and craft, and I still do sometimes, but most of my stuff is done sitting in my computer chair now. I don't print out patterns as much as I used to, instead working off a digital copy on my computer. I *could* download KnitCompanion and use that on my phone for patterns so I could still sit on my bed, but eh, that doesn't sound comfortable to read on a tiny screen.

I still do sometimes sit on my bed when I have printed the pattern. Other places are coffee shops, where I often stop before my Monday therapy sessions, to get out of the house for a bit, and in the car sometimes. Plus Stitch Club.

Half a row on the baby afghan to be donated. That was done in the living room.

More canning, an an attempt to make a two-serving loaf of bread which quickly turned into pizza because I found a vegan cheez that claimed to melt, and couldn't resist the attempt.

I learned that I do best crocheting early in the day.

I learned that if there's bread RIGHT out of the oven, I will eat it, regardless of how many kilocalories or carbs are involved. It's been more than fifteen years since I made pizza from scratch, so forgetting to parbake the crust is a small error, relatively speaking. I also learned that the brand of cheez is tasty despite being ultraprocessed, and yes, it melted fairly well.
