Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The first side of the neck shaping is done, yay!


Also spent some time outside battling brambles and rose briars, many of which are INSIDE the greenhouse. It's a mess in there, and a lot of glass panes are broken.

Just getting to it took three days, cutting through the undergrowth, only to find the staging inside has fallen over... There are pots and things all over the ground, and brambles and rose briars everywhere inside. Very disheartening.

Trying to, but I have already been savaged several times. Those things are vicious!

Oh shoot, that sounds unpleasant. But at least the neck shaping is making progress.

Very unpleasant, yes. I have been viciously savaged already. One bramble got its hooks into my knee and wouldn't unhook.

Finished weaving in ends and blocked the stash-buster blanket - used up 4 skeins in all which is a nice dent :D Kitty is very sad his rectangle is still wet but hopefully will be excited to have his nice dry blanket tomorrow.

A friend announced her due date so I have another baby blanket to make! Can't afford new yarn at the moment so I'll get started on it when I can. I can't get the blanket to her any sooner than October anyway so I've got time.

I'm re-washing a couple doilies this afternoon. Otherwise lots of regular chores. I watered the flowerbeds this morning because it's 95F, which is especially nuts after the 11F nights earlier this week.

The weather has been capricious lately, hasn't it? We also had to re-wash some doilies (crocheted by Grandma, back in the 1960s) because some stinky bug decided to die under them, which we didn't realize until Mum washed them. Now they have ugly brown spotches everywhere - dead bug remains - that stubbornly resists the stain remover. Three attempts so far and barely any results. But we're not giving up!

Oh good luck - these were just a little stinkier than I liked still. Also let them soak in weak vinegar for half an hour.

I have never seen iris be damaged like this. Tulips and daffodils? Yes. The box hedge is nipped back too. Maybe I should give it a little water too.

There was frost here last night. Just a light frost, but still...

I've finished decorating the last batch of Easter cookies and worked a bit on the small felt plushies. Not much, but progress was made, which makes me happy.

I put a few rows on the longways scarf I'm knitting for my partner. I did about 2 and half rows yesterday and thanks to my wrist brace, I'm not sore. Yay!
