Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This afternoon, I sewed wings on 8 bees, and this evening I knitted another 28 rows on the first arm warmer, proof that I can knit 28 rows in 45 minutes (the length of an episode on the DVDs I'm watching at present.

55 stitches per row, because they're for someone with larger hands than mine, so it's quite good progress.

I was running all over the district like a headless chicken today, but it was a successful running. I visited one of my favourite craft shops and bought two packages of tiny little golden bells, so the garish, politically incorrect elephant plushie might get its even more garish decoration, after all. The nervous breakdown of any parents isn't my problem, now is it? *insert evil grin*

In the back of the craft shop there is another, smaller shop (independent from them, just sharing space), where I got me some very pretty grey embroidery thread, in three different shades of grey (fifty would have been the overkill, right?), plus a spool of beautiful silver one. Which I absolutely didn't need but simply couldn't resist. Even though sewing with metallic thread is a real pain. Clearly, I'm a glutton for punishment.

I couldn't resist visiting the local TEDI, either, and got away with another candle to decorate and another sewing kit, this time a cat. So, the TEDI Teddy is about to get a little kitty sister. Why do I keep buying these things when I have enough unfinished projects to last the rest of my life is beyond me.

Yay for crafting supplies! Glad you got some grey thread that will hopefully be better.

Also hope the kitty turns out well.
