Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What are your crafting goals for 2026?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Sets of 10 at a time would be good progress.

I worked on the 2nd dog blankie a bit. May do more after supper. Muffin is currently using the yarn as a pillow.

Well, I imagine the yarn is nice and soft. :))

She's currently burrowing under the couch blanket instead so I had a chance!

Neck and shoulder (and now right wrist) are still acting up, but I did a tiny bit of sewing nonetheless.

One set of laundry room shelves is now finished. All I need to add are the little hooks for the towels, which I need to buy first in a sewing shop. A good thing that I'll have to go to the Allee shopping center tomorrow anyway. They have an excellent craft and sewing supplies shop. I hope I'll find there what I need.

Hopefully you find the hooks at the first shop. Also that the pain will go away!

I hope you feel better soon and good luck with your shopping trip. Also, progress :)

I'm still hacking away at the to-be-posted list from the Holiday Poetry Sale. There are a bunch of long ones left, and a few short ones.

I did the January Poetry Fishbowl on Tuesday 6 with a theme of "Short Forms." \o/

I have made my list of goals for 2026 and started on them. So far I have finished 3 and begun 20. Today's "begun" is making a new recipe, which is a molasses coconut pie for my partner's birthday.

A big creative project I am currently working on is website updates with help from a couple friends.

The contorta willow fell down; I'm eyeing it as possible craft material.

I've started making orders for spring planting. :D

I am SO busy. But my partner loves the pie, so success! It's a lot like shoofly.

Well done!

What I have most consistently worked on the last few days is knitting on the washcloth. It keeps growing, yet is somehow not yet intended size of the pattern.

Friday, we had our second meeting of the fiber arts group. We gained 3 new people, giving us yet more variety in crafts, ages, and experience. (3 members are in the 18-21 year old range, 1 is in her late 60s, 2 are in their late 50s/early 60s, 1 is in her 80s, and I'm 40. And for crafts, I'm knitting, we have a latch hook rug maker and a crossstitcher, and the rest crochet at varying levels.) The woman who saw us through the window last week and offered us free yarn, actually came back and brought us the yarn. It's been a lot of fun.

In the last few days, I've also managed a few rows on the garter slip stitch scarf, 2 more outside of group time rows on the cable blanket, and I added a second coat of the white paint on the foam gingerbread men before they got put away with the Christmas stuff.
