Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The 6 bee brooches are finished — I want to make another 18, I think. I have the next 3 bodies knitted.


After dinner, I hope to knit some more of the larger bees. Just 4 more of those needed.

I've been longing for summer since autumn started.

I've come to the point on my first sleeve that I could swap for a set of double-point needles. Knitted a couple more rows, then took the freed circular needle to the second sleeve and did a few rows here too, plus one on the torso to make sure all three circles are well separated from each other and easier to knit. I'll be very careful to make the sleeves symetrical in shape, but I'm starting to consider making their coloured stripes slightly different?
Also went rippit-rippit on my failed previous attempt on this jumper, which was very satisfying!

You're making great progress. It could be interesting to have stripes that don't match, but they would need to be different enough for it to be obviously deliberate, otherwise people might think you made a mistake without noticing.

Sometimes ripping knitting back can be quite cathartic.

More baby blanket crocheting and I have been journaling. I may or may not be finishing up my 2025 journal... I got behind, but I have now reached December so nearing the end! and I have started 2026 too.

One crafting goal I have this year is to not be so afraid to do more art in my journal. I want to be more playful and free.
