Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What are your crafting goals for 2026?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Well done! Though I cannot hear the word "bee" these days without thinking of Honey B. Lovely from Final Fantasy XIV. I've gotten her raid 4 times via roulettes over the past two weeks, lol.

One washing machine finished. The other one is half done. And I have sewn on the flooring of one laundry room.

Six rows on cardigan sleeve today. I have now completed for 37 of at least 85 rows, which puts me about 42% done. I'm not sure exactly how many rows it will be because after increases it says to work even until a certain measurement. But I'm making progress!

I started the sleeves first! I was too lazy to make a gauge swatch, and figured a sleeve would make a nice large swatch. Happily, I am getting the correct gauge AND I like my fabric. Hopefully by doing sleeves first, I'll escape Second Sleeve Syndrome.

Managed a few rows on the sweater scarf. Bigger accomplishment was cleaning up and donating some bigger pieces of baby gear that Three has grown out of to donate to the local baby bank.

My anxiety is high today, so I've been trying to keep busy.

I finished the last two scratch art ornaments from the kit. When I went to go put the strings on them that came with the kit, it turned out they were in fact not ornaments. They were apparently intended to all be strung on one long red cord like a banner or garland. Fun.

I also finished the last watercolor card.

After dinner, I knitted some more on the washcloth.

I had considered doing some writing, but we'll see.

I taught myself to do a buttonhole + transplanted a button on my workcoat. It's not perfect but it'll do... tomorrow, as school's cancelled today.
Meanwhile the first sleeve is going well (I was supposed to knit the torso first, but I want to see where I'm going with the different colours on the sleeves first and nobody can stop me.)

I did a half a row on my new scarf project. It's knit longways so a row is 280 something stiches! Once I get past this row & take out the stich markers I used for counting the cast on, it should be much easier to work on.
