Check-In Post - Dec 21st 2025
Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: Does anyone have any plans for making Christmas gifts or cards?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Might knit a couple more while watching a DVD later. Canon review so I can write a drabble or two.
I did knit two more bees, and got a quadruple drabble written. Pleased with the result.

Got the amaryllis out of the basement and repotted them for the year. It's my winter solstice activity.

Oh, I'm the same. Short days just leave me drained.
Yay! I wish you many bright blooms!

So I'm back to square one AGAIN for something for the kidlets. I'm tempted to make mini-sweater ornaments. Don't know if they will like then, but it'd be fun. I'm running out of time so need to decide soon!
I've ordered yarn from Michaels that I will pick up tomorrow, to make phone pillows for my younger sister and her husband. One pillow takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes, so shouldn't be terribly long.

It's a tough choice.

Good luck with the phone pillows!

I have been prepping next year's art journal in spare moments.
I actually remembered to make a thank you card for the woman who runs our monthly book club before our last meeting of the year.
This month's Creative Cafe at the library, which was Friday, was collages, so I made a bunch of tiny Christmas themed ones. I have no idea what I'm doing with them, but it was a nice break.
I also remembered to pick up my star from the mosaics workshop on Saturday. It's very cute all cut out and it's already been worked into the Christmas decorations.
Today, I prepped for going to Lynne's tomorrow, which partially meant making 3 small paper gingerbread men for one of the cards we'll be making. I also made a little paper yule goat, a batch of turtle fudge, and a batch of regular fudge with walnuts in it.

Yay for all your creative endeavours. Glad your mosaic star came through the cutting out process. The Christmas collages sound fun.
Oooh, fudge! What is in turtle fudge though? Hopefully not turtles....
