Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I have knitted 2 more larger bees, but with a different yellow this time. Would have liked to do more, but I was out most of the morning. I delivered cards and presents to my neighbours, and I cycled into town not once but twice! First time was to a community market. There weren't a lot of stalls there, apparently there are usually more, but there were cakes, savoury baking, and preserves, several stalls selling handmade Christmas decorations, a couple with knitting and crochet, a couple with sewn items, bags and purses, a couple selling cards, birthday as well as Christmas, and one with stained glass. I got a card that was a photo of Ashness Bridge in the Lake District because I have a lot of happy memories from there. Got cherry shortcake, a blackcurrant bakewell, and a jar of grapefruit and stem ginger marmalade. The shortcake is sheer heaven. Haven't tried the rest yet.


Also took the prototype big bee to the shop. It has been approved, and I left them another 6 small bees, so I need to get the next 6 small bees finished before I continue making the big ones. They have had 42 small bees so far! So many bees! They're selling well. Waiting for the day I see someone wearing one. It hasn't happened yet.

Here is the only halfway decent Bee pic I managed to get. It's not great, but I've decided it's the bees' fault. The must keep moving when I'm trying to photograph them =/

Today I remade the holiday potpourri bowl. Mine looks very much like the picture in the reference page I linked from my post, although the ribbon is silver without bells.

Well done! I hope it smells are good as it looks!

It does smell good. :D The faint heat of the holiday lights is just enough to release extra scent from the potpourri. Used to be easy to find in multiple flavors but this year I couldn't find anything and wound up deconstructing a cinnamon pinecone.
