Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I'm very late, I know, but I got my 10 rows done, I'm now at 5 complete pattern repeats!

Also sowed some sweet pea seeds in a tub, hoping that a few will come up. Had to water the flower bed as well because it was supposed to rain today and it didn't. How am I complaining about it NOT raining? It feels so unnatural...

I'm hoping, but one packet was over 20 years old and the other 14 years old, so who knows?

Ha okay, maybe not. I've ended up going the direction of herbs, many are perennial, and the packet has way more in it than you'd use normally. I should ask my aunts.

Good luck with your herbs! They can be decorative as well as tasty, I used to have a bronze fennel that was particularly lovely.

Worked on the blanket a bit, I would say right now it's at 20 inches. I'm very close to the end of the first cake, I'll take another photo when I get that far.

Worked slowly with lots of breaks to get front yard tasks done. Weeded flower bed, planted calendulas, fertilized the rose bush and redbud sapling, cut out all the dead bits on the rose from the big freeze. That pretty much leaves planting the horehound (pot is in the back yard) and some mulching here and there.

Husband and I just watched a documentary about the Mars rover that landed earlier this year.

You've had a very busy day, but it sounds like you've got the garden well in hand and the blanket is coming along nicely.

I hope the documentary was interesting. It's the sort of thing I enjoy watching.

yay - I've been able to do some craft consistently over the last week, and it feels better than only getting to work one day here and there even if I get a lot done at once.
