Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Took the day off from anything garden related today - it was supposed to rain, but then it didn't, so I did have to water my flower / seedbed. Got to do some sorting, sweeping up, and tidying to organise a place to put pots to sow some seeds in, so that's my next task. Maybe I'll start that tomorrow... Depends on the weather.

Your sweater is growing fast! It's always satisfying seeing another pattern repeat completed.

Yes, it's quite surprising how fast things grow once you get going. I don't have to look at the pattern now that it's in my head, so that speeds things up.

I only needed one canful as the ground was still mostly moist, it was just starting to dry out in a few spots so I figured I'd best do something about that.

The gardening sounds like it's getting there too! We are supposed to have rain for the next 3 days, so that might keep me sewing!

There's a lot to be done in the garden, but that one bed is in business, so that's a good start. We have rain forecast for at least two weeks, which is going to hamper progress =/

This is a photo from last night that I just hadn't put in a shareable place yet, so you can all see the yarn.

My kitty had her yearly vet check up today and was pronounced healthy and well (if not a bit chubby) and now she's almost 9, she's 52 in people years, which is the closest we will get to being the same age. We celebrated by going into the garden and staring intently at the part of the fence where a rat runs across at dusk, which is her very favourite thing to do right now. The rat ran. The kitty was deliriously excited. The fairy lights came on. It was pretty magical.

Happy kitty time! Good that she's healthy, although watching rats doesn't appeal to me, lol! Mice, yes, but not rats.

Garden continues to get attention, mostly weeding right now. I think we’re going to need to source more potting soil before I can carry on with the patio plants.

That's something I could do with too. I've got a bit, but if I'm going to sow seeds in pots I'll need more.
