Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Yesterday I finished the West side of the house painting. Too cold for a couple days to paint, hopefully back to it Tues.

I'm still somehow not done detangling Steve 2.0. The closer I get to finishing, the harder it fights back.
After work on Friday, I checked in on the yarn section at the store I normally go to and they finally have yarn in stock. It's not a brand they usually carry and it's all fake chenille, so I'm not sure if it just what they could get in or if it's the special pre-christmas yarn this year (it was stocked in both sections). They had orange though. Is it what I wanted? No. Will it work well enough? Yes.
The holiday craft bazaar was Saturday. I hadn't been in years because it had declined so much and then they started charging admission, but a friend was extremely excited to go, so I went with her. It has improved a lot since I'd last been. There were 110 vendors, selling pretty much anything you'd imagine; baked goods, crochet dolls, ceramics, painted antique furniture, self published books, Christmas ornaments, slippers, guitars made from cigar boxes, fused glassware, knitted hats, etc. (Also, no more admission charge to get in.) Though, now my friend wants us to get a booth next year to sell our stuff. I did too much of that when I was younger, so I'm not thrilled by the idea, but I will support her doing it.
A different friend texted me asking if I could make her some coffee cup cozies. I said sure, I just needed to know what she'd like them to look like. She responded with panic and laughing emojis. I still took the opportunity to buy some cotton yarn to practice with and treated myself to a small banana bread flavored chai latte to have a cup to try to fit things on.
Today, I prepped my bag for Lynne's tomorrow. My fingers are crossed that she won't be too confused over whether or not I'm coming over, as she had me come over twice over the last week to fix her TV since I made cards with her last.

Glad you managed to get orange yarn, even if it's not what you wanted.
The holiday craft bazaar sounds great! I wish we had something like that here. I have found out about a market I can go to though. It's a craft one, once a month on a Friday, but it will be open for three Fridays next month.
Good luck with the coffee cup cozies! Also good luck at Lynne's.

That sounds like it would be fun :) I hope you get a chance to check it out. Ours is a one day, once a year thing that's been going on for 55 years. Sometimes it's great and sometimes it's kinda sad. You never know what's going to be there, so there's at least the element of adventure.
Thanks
