Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question (courtesy of [personal profile] cora): What was your last project that got put into "time out" and why?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Mostly this week we've been running around doing things.

Today I'm home, so I finished planting the last 3 bags of bulbs that I had. \o/

Well done!

I've been knitting heavily on the Versailles Scarf. It's knit in long rows, and is "true lace" (yarn overs and decreases on both sides, no resting rows). I was cruising along, on a wrong side row when I was like wait, something isn't right. Attempted to figure out the issue, and at some point in doing so, dropped a stitch which ran across some decreases. Now I've got a mess, ugh.

I've put retroactive stitch markers in. I was using loops of thread as markers in the beginning, but between them sliding under YOs and the pattern being pretty easy to read, I sort of let them fall out. Now I have put plastic locking markers in at the appropriate places. I've determined the issue is in one repeat that may need to be reknitted up. Figuring out how to do that though will have to wait for later. We're going to my nephew's fall band concert and I need to let my eyes unblur before we leave in about 20 minutes. Wish me luck cleaning up the mess, I'm going to need it!

Hope you enjoyed the concert.

Good luck with fixing your knitting.

I don't really remember yesterday (wed), but I'm fairly certain it was all cleaning and anxiety with no crafting.

Today (Thur) I continued to work on detangling Steve 2.0. He is definitely fighting back. I also went to update one of my art journals and realized I had wildly miscalculated during set up how long it will last me. I had planned for it to span July 5th 2025 to July 4th 2026 and in actuality, it will last until December 31st this year. I am pretending to not be annoyed by this.

Honestly, yeah.

Most definitely. It's almost impressive and I still don't know how I did it, but I may have found a solution.

Indeed!
