Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Thanks. It has already far outstayed its welcome. It's been 9 or 10 days already.

I really need luck for the fic. I've got my character into position, more or less, to deal with the cyborg, but I hate putting him through this...

Worked a bit on the trivet and will probably pick it up again after supper.

I'm 9 rounds away from finishing a legwarmer. I thought I'd finish it tonight but I've developed a headache (sinuses, I think) so I'll probably take an allergy pill with my night meds and go to bed soon.
Meanwhile: I'm going to a chamber ensemble concert next month, and I am being ridiculous about it. I've already bought a new dress for it, but the dress needs SOMETHING, and so I thought, "Why not knit a scarf to go with it?" I splurged on a ball of NICE yarn, which is due to arrive tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I'll have enough time to do the scarf before the concert, because work has no work for me right now.
Said dress is going to leave my legs partially bare. I could wear the legwarmers that are almost done, but the dress is emerald green and the legwarmers are fire engine red, and I do NOT want to look like an inverted Christmas tree. Scarf comes first, but if time allows, I might do another pair of legwarmers in white yarn. Yes, I know: I am ridiculous.

Good luck with the leg warmers and the scarf, and I hope you'll enjoy the concert.

Friday, I had I whirlwind out of town trip with a friend to see her favorite podcast perform live and we came back Saturday morning. It was a lot of fun. We also went to a Bigfoot themed tourist trap and enjoyed the spooky woods while we were down there.
Saturday, almost immediately after I got home, I was whisked off to spend the rest of day with visiting family. That was also good, but made for a very exhausting day.
Tomorrow, I go make cards with Lynne, though I have not prepared my bag yet. The night before I left, she called me and it left me a bit concerned, but while I was gone my mother took it upon herself to take Lynne some snack trays and spend some time chatting with her. It was very sweet of her.

Your trip sounds like it was fun.
Yay for your mum looking in on Lynne. And good luck for the cardmaking!

Lynne is still singing my mother's praises over it :)

I took a scratchy tag out of a t-shirt and re-sewed the seam I had to rip to do so.
And after a quick measuring I'd say the Sushi Scarf I made for a friend this month is six freaking meters long. Yep that's longer than Fourht Doctor's Scarf and a bit impractical.

That's LOOOOOOONG! Awesome!
