Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another day of writing but no crafting. This trend will probably continue until this cold is gone, or after Halloween, because I have a lot to get ready for the big day. I'm struggling a bit. I don't want to let the kids down, but getting everything set up is going to be hard if I still feel like this. It's a struggle when I'm feeling okay.

Thanks, I'm trying to, but unfortunately chores still have to get done, and writing deadlines are looming. At least the clocks go back tonight so I can have an extra hour in bed!

I hope so too. At least I'm coughing and sneezing less. Just feeling generally crap.

I think everything on imgur is just getting blocked in the UK, although the pic did show in my email notification, which is something.

It's been raining the last two days, so I was able to rest a bit and catch up some indoor chores. Today I even did one row on a trivet.

The south side painting is done. We have this much of the front done and wanted to share since you can finally see all 3 colors together.

Don't worry about it, it's just as likely that it's been blocked. There are a lot of things we in the UK can't look at now. =(

I am doing my first sock, and I was afraid of doing the heel turn so I put down the project several months ago. Now I have done the heel turn.

Kudos to you! I have never actually succeeded on a heel turn and so the last time I knitted socks they involved no heel turn (I guess they were more like slippers?).

I completed the decorations for the trunk-or-treat, which my eldest graciously helped me with (she's getting pretty handy with a pair of kid scissors and was also glad to help paint lots of glue onto things).

Also a couple of days ago I managed a row on my circle shawl. Was staying up late with my husband - who has been working mad hours during the end-of-year crush - and he was all "oh, we can go to bed after you finish your row" and I had to explain that one row can take an hour now...
