Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question (courtesy of [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith): For those of us who do yarn crafts, what kinds of yarn do you prefer working with and why?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

That's a lot of faces! I wish you all the speed

ahhh good old "where the hell did I put that"

I never end up doing that for halloween because I live out in the middle of nowhere; anyone trick or treating out here is liable to be a serial killer, but christmas, oh christmas. We do lights in a tree of ours every year so the highway can see something nice as they go, and it's a hunt every year because they'll get put somewhere "more convenient" a few months after packing.

Not dead, just went to renfaire for the weekend and took a couple of days to not think about things!

All of the finished macarons btw
42 crocheted macarons in varying colors

Now I'm workin gon a new doily, because I lost my size 6 hook 🙃. New and better one is on the way, but that doesn't make me not annoyed

problem is I know exactly where my hook is; two hours away in a friends house. It's not worth the gas to go there and back, given it's a cheap metal boyle hook.

ordering an amour hook in the eqivalent size as a replacement. I do enough lacework atp to deserve the upgrade.

Hope the renfaire was fun :D

The macarons are adorable!

Sorry you've lost another hook.

I've mostly been knitting on the second half of the cable hat. I'll probably finish it tomorrow. Then I'll have to figure out how to sew it together, lol.

Today was also card making with Lynne. It went quite well. With it raining today, I was extra concerned as she tends to be very sensitive to the weather, but she was in surprisingly good spirits. Despite the card having a lot of steps, we got it put together with minimal issues or fuss. Our only real problem was her tape runner running out of adhesive the first time she used it and her not understanding that I can't just go to the store and buy her refills. I also had time to finish designing the next card we're going to make and one for the bird stickers she found last week. I even got her to eat something and take her pills. A good day.
