Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I knitted the last meece and made up all 4, so now all I have to do is their faces, but first I have to find my black DK yarn... No idea how many meeces are in the bag, but I think more than 20.


Also knitted a pumpkin.

If the meeces get into my pumpkins I'll be in trouble! I need the pumpkins for Halloween more than I need the extra meeces, which I only made because I got some purple yarn with a bit of sparkle to it. The thought of sparkly meeces proved irresistible.

So many meeces! And another pumpkin! Enough to keep a fleet of Cinderellas in coaches and horses...

I have 6 pumpkins to sew up at present, and 61 to stitch faces on, but 21 of those are small and I'm not sure if faces will work on them. I'll try once the meeces are finished. Still need more pumpkins though. They tend to be popular and I don't want to run out.

Thanks! Most of them had been lurking part made since last year, it was time I got them finished.

Good grief, how did time run away from me so much? Sorry for the absence. I missed you folks - I was just being horrible with my time management.

Anyway, I've finished the little pillow cases and started filling them with cherry pits. Only it turned out that I got so many cherry pits donated that I'd need to make at least four more pillow cases. I'm not sure I'll actually do it. 14 of the things are more than enough. I might just put the cherry pits into jars - they've been sterilized thoroughly, after all - and keep them until next year. Then I'll have a start of supplies already.

Part of the reason why I don't want to make more of the things is because two of my fingers are mildly injured. The corner of a fingernail rubbed my index finger sensitive, and I burned my middle finger while jam making. Even so, I'll have to sew nine more cherry pit pillows closed in the upcoming days, which is bad enough with hurting fingers.

Great that you have enough cherry pits to save some for next year. Good luck with sewing the rest closed, once your fingers are healed properly.

It is. Fortunately, they were minor ones and practically healed by today.

got sent home from work early (lack of work to even *do*) so I'm just working on row 46 of the doily. Might swap to trying to get past row 8 of the fillet later.

All motifs completed! Have started the horizontal stitching, which will be a lot less fiddly and fussy than the vertical stitching, but that's okay.
