Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: Share your favourite crafting tip, if you have one.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Then I went to our local summer fair in the park at the far end of town. There were miniature donkeys for petting! So I petted donkeys! Also learned how to make a cord bracelet from wool, it's sort of woven... It's very simple to do, and I bet a lot of people already now how, but I didn't. Finished mine when I got home, Now I need to cut a fresh circle of cardboard to make some more, because the one I was using is all bendy now. I'll try to find some stronger, more durable card. The corrugated stuff bends too easily.
Treated myself to 3 very expensive brownies, but they are amazing. I've only eaten part of the mint aero one, but I have never had a better brownie. Also got a raspberry & white chocolate brownie, and a lemon meringue blondie.

And the meeces did sell? That is great! Isn't it nice when people like what you've worked on for so long; not to mention getting some of your money back? Good luck with the bee brooches, may they bring in even more cash!
As for the brownies - if you don't treat yourself from time to time, no-one else will do, so it was a smart move. *g*

I was surprised by how much I got from the sale of two dozen assorted meeces. Not a humongous amount, but more than I was expecting. If the bee brooches sell as well... A bit more money would be nice. I've dug out the pattern - the body is similar to a meece body - and I've found the necessary yarn and needles, so tomorrow I'll start making bee bodies. I'll do some golden yellow and black, and some with the yellow and dark brown. Then I'll have to figure out better wings than the ones in the pattern. Wondering if I can crochet wings... I'll experiment one I have some bodies made.
The brownies were £3 each or three for £8, so very expensive, but also very tasty.

During TV time I worked on the yarn some more and knitted on the rain tracking shawl (June 1-7).
