Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Finished the rose posy. I'd actually missed a couple of small cross stitch bits, but it was only 5 stitches so I got those done and all the backstitch, which was incredibly fiddly and took a long time. I could have started the next design, but decided not to.


Instead, I knitted one more pumpkin in the 4-ply crepe yarn. Unfortunately, when I got to the end on the last row before the decrease row, I found that two stands of the yarn were broken, what was left was barely holding together. So I unpicked a row and re-did it from the other end of what was left. Just means extra ends to deal with in the sewing up.


Then, while watching TV, I knitted three more DK pumpkins, so I'm up to 9 of those. I knitted 3 last night as well as the ones I'd done yesterday afternoon. Might get more knitted tonight, because I have TV to watch.

Sometimes you just need a break from one project. Luckily, there's always another one around the corner. *g*

Not really taking a break, I'll start the next one tomorrow, but it's another one with the chart split between two pages and I didn't want to wrestle with that when I only had a half hour before my TV show. Too easy to lose track of time. The repeated watchings are to drill details in my brain for future fanfic, I can't afford to miss one *grins*

I wouldn't have started a pattern with a page break when I only had a small working time either. You're making great pumpkin progress!

Got a few more done this evening, but was interrupted by a huge spider crawling across my yarn O.O It was NOT appreciated.

Finished patching on the current area of the house. Closer to being able to paint this part.

I also finished repotting plants.

I'm thinking Friday for painting.

I was going to crochet or read but I'm looking at pictures of African violets that I do not have instead.

Today was a bit of a trial, but I was able to work on a couple things.

I got back to detangling the yarn again. While I'd set a timer for an hour, I ended up working on it for about 3 hours. No significant progress was made.

After a massive unintentional nap, I did two more layers of paint on the white parts of the background of the painting I'm doing for the library art competition. I'm much happier with it.

You must be getting SOMEWHERE with the untangling, even if it doesn't seem that way. Good luck!
