Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I have finished stitching the first of the three cute owls and it's turned out perfect! I've started the second one, which is green, blue and brown. Both the last two are, but in different combinations. There are slight differences in their faces, and the pink one has a flower, but the bodies are identical, just in different colours. I don't mind, not when they're this cute.

Working on the crochet basket - I'm about halfway up the sides. I would not be this far, but the Canadian wildfire smoke is impacting our area today. I mowed this morning but I could not do any more active project.

Still, at least you're making great progress on the basket!

I'm ready to join the final skein so that is solid progress. I doubt I'll finish, towards the end I need to count and figure out the best spot for handles.

Today was a lot; I had to turn in my reading challenge at the library, work was slow because the new cash register can't consistently do an accurate end of day print out, shopping was a mess because one new checker not knowing what she was doing descended the entire store into chaos, and on the way home there was almost 3 car accidents in front of us in a 2 block stretch of road.

But I have free garlic and a painting kit for an art contest I am entering against my better judgement. (The garlic is unrelated to the art contest, it just makes me happy.)

The painting kit came with a canvas, display easel, set of brushes, and some tiny pots of paint. I have no idea what I'm going to do, but I have until the 22nd to submit something. (I actually ended up with an extra set of brushes and paints, which I'm going to try to return tomorrow.)
