Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Four rows on my pink sweater. It would have been 6, maybe even 8, but I screwed up on the first row I had to use the cable needle on and wound up with more stitches than I was supposed to have. So that was two rows I had to undo, which is harder with fluffy yarn than with regular yarn =/ Still, I won't make that mistake again.

That's frustrating and fluffy yarn and cables to undo. You definitely won't make that mistake again.

Well, not a real cable, just slip a stitch onto the cable needle, knit two, then knit the stitch, but still fiddly to undo.

It was, I hated the waste of knitting time. I could have knitted at least 4 rows in the rtime it took me to undo two.

Stitchalong finished. I ended up doing the flower middles as a sort of satin stitch rather than anything more complicated. It's not brilliant, but not bad. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

I did do sewing today if you call making a mosquito net canopy for my cat's miniature sofa sewing. It looks like one of those old-fashioned basinette canopies. Meanwhile, the kitty is steadfastly avoiding the new sofa, so I figured she couldn't hate it more with a canopy, and I made it from her favourite mosquito netting hoping it might lure her onto it.

I do find it amusing that you've made a mosquito net canopy for the your cat's sofa - she doesn't appreciate her good fortune. When my son was a baby we had a cat net on the carry cot, to keep the cat off - and one day found cat peacefully asleep on top of the net next to the baby, since he'd squashed the net under his weight.

Oh dear! Cats do love nets. I think it's because they can hide behind them yet still stalk prey (toys and leaves) through them.

That definitely counts. Maybe the mosquito netting will make kitty's new sofa more appealing. Or just put a cardboard box on it. I've never met a cat who couldn't be tempted with an empty box. *grins*

She hates boxes and is scared of them. She's a rescue kitty and was mistreated in a box. She loves flat cardboard, so that's an idea!

Oh, poor kitty, that's so sad, but she has a happy home now. It flat cardboard is her thing, then why not?
