Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I was making good progress on the first of my new hearts and flowers designs, until things started not matching up and I realised I hadn't stitched the top three rows of the flower pot, so the leaf I'd stitched was three rows lower and one stitch to the left of where it should be. Cue much grumbling as I unpicked the leaf.


Went outside early this morning and swept part of the path, which still had a lot of dead grass all over it from the lawn being cut. I gave up when I got a bramble tangled in my hair. Before I finish the path, I have to deal with the damned bramble. I didn't realise it was there and stood up underneath it. Had a devil of a job getting my hair free.

them damn branches and brambles. Unfortunate roadblock to something hypothetically simple but hey, best time to do the task is twenty years ago. Second best time is now. You'll get it done.

I've ben cutting them down at least that long, but they keep growing back. Going to be lots of blackberries this year...

Yes, but I survived both, so I can't complain. Well, I could, it just wouldn't do any good.

Ouch! on the bramble front - and I guess on the sewing front too! That's frustrating but at least you're sorted now.

Frustration is part of crafting.

At first it was my typical forgetting to check in, casual and whatnot, and now I get to report that thankfully the wicked fucking headcold has NOT killed me! It damn well tried though, as I'm not great with that type of pain (and I was in plenty)

I have all the pieces to a crane done at least, but I need to put them together.

I've started on the cherry pit pillows; cut out the pieces for 4 pillowcases and nearly finished the first one. I seriously doubt that my cherry pit reserves would be enough for four pillows, but if I don't get the batch promised by a former colleague, I can always unmake a bigger one from the previous year. The fabric of that one is too pretty for the purpose anyway; I'll probably take out the cherry pits and stuff the pillow with soft filling material, even if I do get fresh pits.

Yeah, I do like complicating my own life, so what's new? *insert sarcasm*
