Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've changed to 4mm needles, set the pattern and done 8 rows. It's a 28 row pattern repeat, but it's fairly straightforward except for rows 13 and 27, which require a cable needle.

I'm looking forward to pictures. I can't see these in my head as I'm not a knitter. I understand plain and patterned, but beyond that...

*grins* It's pink and it's going to have holes in it set out in a diamond pattern.

One of these days I will try to get pics taken and posted. Old camera, new computer, possible compatibility issues... Tech is complicated and I only understand the basics.

Especially for those of us who grew up before home computers, mobile phones, and digital cameras... I got my first ancient laptop in my forties and slowly worked my way up to one with internet capability. I've only been online for a bit over 12 years, and there are still a lot of things I have no clue about.

I grew up before any of those things too. Kids these days will never understand the pain of not being able to take the phone any further than the cord reached!

We didn't even have a home phone until I was 18. If we wanted to call someone we went to the phonebox =/

That doesn't sound too bad - although I agree with the request for pictures at some point.

I like diamond patterns, I've done quite a few, so this one isn't a strain on my brain. Once the first few rows are there I know pretty much what I'm doing.

I do hope to have pictures - at some point.

I have made no progress, but my aunt has bought some knitting essentials she thought I was lacking, like markers, measuring tape :D :D Things she told me by myself the last time I saw her! Aunts <3

Aunts like to spoil us! I was gifted many things over the years by my aunts, and inherited all of one aunt's knitting supplies, patterns, and tools a few years ago. At least now you don't need to buy those things for yourself. Did you get any stitch holders yet? They're one thing I can't do without

They do! I did get a stich holder, or at least I think so, my English vocabular about knitting is not the best! But I did get one thing that looks to have this function.

I'm sure you English knitting vocabulary will expand as you go along. If it looks something like a large safety pin, it's a stitch holder ;)

Day 9 of stitchalong, and nearly two hours stitching - two more flowers complete. Tomorrow is the final day, so I'll post another pic after that.
