Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What do you like to listen to / watch while crafting?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Oh good. I've had to use the trimmer to knock things down a couple times when they go out of control.

Sounds like a productive day.

I don't have to wade through waist high grass to go down the garden.

And now you can spot any aliens that might have hidden in the grass! *g*

Trimmed the felting lint off one trivet, I needed it for a wedding gift tomorrow. Nothing like the last minute.

Finished scraping and repair on the first section of the house. Finally. I think.

Looked at my cousin's baby registry for color ideas. Almost everything is gray or beige. Bizarre.

This is the lower portion of the south side and it's in bad shape. Every time I think I have the last spot, I find something else.

I looked in my acrylic bin and a green, blue, and red that are the same brightness. I'll do those for the basket.

Well done on all fronts - I hope the scraping and repair is done and you can move on to the next task. An unusual combination for a baby, although I guess it's neutral and they're fairly resilient colours.

Grey and beige are horrible. As someone else mentioned, babies need colours!

Working on the cardigan tonight but I'm really late starting so if I get the cuff done that will probably be enough to consider it excellent progress for today unfortunately.

Good luck on the cuff. Sounds like a perfect amount for short time.

Cuff finished and that's it for tonight - hopefully I can do what the pattern calls 'neckline ribbing' as apart from making sure there's no tails etc that will be the project finished.

I picked up an ufo to work on. I had a pair of socks mostly done for my partner. One just needed the bind off, which I did yesterday. The other needed the cuff mostly redo due to some holes in it. I'm working on thinking that back now.

Sorry for the absence. Somehow life managed to run away from me, without actually having done that much. Time is sooo relative.

Anyway, I've finished the new Santa pencil holder, and it looks like this:

Other than that, not much crafting happened. July is picowrimo month, and I'm trying to use my non-existent free time for writing.
