Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Finished the yellow in the border of the 4th design, including the swirly sunburst, stitched the inner border, and started the shell in the middle. Only one shell on this design.


Aside from that and some writing, I've done damn all. The heat has got to me a bit, although it's cooler now.

Swirly sunburst sounds pretty, and yellow is such a cheery color. I bet it looks great!

The streamer I watch (who's from the UK) said it was 30C this weekend. That's definitely too hot! Congrats on what you got done in spite of the heat, and I hope you stay cool and comfortable.

It's s-fiddly to stitch., but I do like them. Not all the designs in this set have them, I think 4 out of 6 (could be wrong) but it adds interest.

Thanks. We hit 32C for one day. It felt like a furnace outside, when I briefly stepped out to check for post. Spent most of the day inside with the windows shut. No A/C in most British homes.

That one sounds really nice, I like a swirl. It's not terribly hot here today, and started out with a weird foggy mist. I think our weather must have swapped.

Give us our mist back! *grins* Actually, haven't seen any misty mornings so far this summer, which is odd.

The swirly sunbursts are quite cool. I think 4 out of 6 designs in this set have them.

Poetry Fishbowl Open!

I finished the Capybara yesterday, just in time to post to Nerdopolis. Pic in my journal in my usual crafting update post.

Today was Nerdopolis chores, but no actual crafting. Hot here, and I had other things to do, including applying for a new job. Go me for actually following through on that and submitting my resume somewhere!
