Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Finished the third seashell design, and I've started the fourth one. Now I realise there are five rectangular designs and only one square one.


I've completed the first shade of blue in the border and started the second. I could have stitched more, but the audio cassette I was listening to ran out, and since they're 45 minutes to a side, I couldn't justify stitching for another 45 minutes when I'd already had three hours...

That was a very sensible decision. You need to be careful with your eyes.

I have magnifying lenses for when I'm stitching so it's not a problem. I might have carried on, but I wanted to do a bit more writing.

I let myself listen to two tapes, then stop. I am getting quite good at stitching while swaying back and forth along with the music, although I sometimes stop stitching and dance around the room when a fast one with a good beat comes on.

Rows 18 and 19 are done, and the lattice for 20 is finished with no start on the scales.

As for silence first it was work and then I had a pre-planned trip to go on. Effectively, just got busy. Oops.

No problem, people pop in and out as time and life allow, checking in has never been compulsory.

That's great progress with the dice bag, well done!

Glad you're getting some done. I disappear sometimes too because there's just too much going on.

I've finished processing the lavender and the cherry pits. I'll start filling the sachets next.

Oh nice. I was weeding around my lavender and am looking forward to when they're big enough to get more than a few flowers.

Spent the morning weeding in garden. Working on the trivet now.

Sometimes I listen to music. Videos are often YouTube cleaning or yardwork videos recently, lol!

Late morning/early afternoon today: watching Colin Ryan stream Final Fantasy XIV and knitting on the Sophie Scarf. I would have worked on the Capybara instead but I felt the Capybara needed more of an attention span. I got a chunk of the scarf done, but there's no way I can finish it by Nerdopolis' deadline tomorrow. Will have to submit it in Area 51 next month.

I'm taking a break from the Capybara now. I've done the throat motif and the heart for the nose. Need to do 3 more plain squares and 1 patterned square, then I am DONE with motifs and can start assembly. Planning on working on it this evening and tomorrow as necessary.

While Capybara=ing, I've been listening to soundtracks from the Final Fantasy games. I almost always do while crafting. The music of choice for this particular project has been the Heavensward and Shadowbringers OSTs from FFXIV.

Sounds like you know exactly what works best for you as background entertainment while crafting!

Sorry you won't get the scarf done in time, but well done with progress on that and on your capybara.

Today I picked a few berries. It's drizzling again, so I can't get back to the blackberries. :/

I got some recordkeeping done.

My blackberries won't ripen for a few weeks yet, going to have a late crop after I cut most of them back and they re-grew. I'll see if next door wants some for jam. My old neighbours used to come around two or three times a year to harvest some.
