Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: We all probably have multiple WiPs, but which of yours has been hanging around longest, waiting to be finished?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

If that one was a bit annoying I'm glad you're nearly done.

Not a lot done yet today, but some recent progress includes:

I have a new "lantern" style terrarium that is open at the top, which I got when someone I know struck up a conversation about terraria and asked if I wanted it. Currently it's full of plastic plants and other decor. I'll need to pull that out at some point so I can put live plants inside. Given the open top, I'm thinking about air plants, which like a little extra humidity but don't absolutely require it. I can put some on a branch or something. I have a green-and-yellow glass egg that I just got with that project in mind.

Also on the aesthetics side, I posted about Goblincore over in [community profile] thefreaksclub.

I got a subscription to Enchanted Living Magazine and I'm loving that. It's a very visual magazine with lots of art and photography, multiple crafts, some fiction and poetry, nonfiction articles, etc. If you like fantasy arts and crafts, definitely take a look. They sell back issues if the subscription is too steep.

I finished the Poetry Fishbowl report for June. Next up will be Tuesday, July 1 with a theme of "Weaponized Incompetence and Malicious Compliance." I encourage folks to drop by and leave me prompts then.

I posted my bingo claim for June.

I figure air plants are often displayed on branches, which is similar to how they live in nature.

Good luck with the terrarium and everything else.

I scraped on the south side of the house again today, it's now done to about head height.

Working on the trivet now. I probably won't make much progress, but some of better than none.

Guess I just had to say that I did not expect much progress. I finished 4 rows, which is the rest of the background.

One of my prettiest shirts--button down, short sleeved, very blue--doesn't fit anymore. It has always been a tight fit around the upper arm but now it's also too tight across the belly. Luckily it's got two darts in the back that I carefully took out, now let's see if two more centimeters give me enough breathing room before I have to donate it..?
(Rhetorical question and I know I already said it but I'll ask myself again: however did I manage before I got my seam-ripper?)
