Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: We all probably have multiple WiPs, but which of yours has been hanging around longest, waiting to be finished?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

That's fun that the sections are similar but not identical! It keeps projects from feeling like they're dragging.

Excellent progress! Way to go! They sound like lovely designs. Excited for photos!

It's a beautiful day to stay indoors and write, again. Yesterday I finished a section of the Llewellyn project I've been working on. I think I still have three sabbats left to cover.

It's not as hot in my part of Illinois but boy it sure is humid today! It definitely is a good day to stay in and write.

Way to go! You can do it!

We're boiled alive over here, so activities are rather on the low side. The most I did was plucking apart the dill and the rosemary a friend had brought on Saturday and putting them into jars, as they'd dried out completely by now. They'll be used for the spiced oil and salad vinegar for the fair.

In the evening our art teacher called and offered me lavender and cherry pits, which I can fetch from school on Friday. So, it seems there will be cherry pit pillows at the fair again. That's the good side of things. The not-so-good side is that I can start making pillow-cases for them. Perhaps I'll try to make Louise the Younger (the baby sewing machine) to cooperate. It would be quite the time-saver, but I'm not sure I can wrestle her into obedience.

Oooh tell me more about cherry pit pillows. I am intrigued!

They are very useful; and versatile. Put them into the freezer for an hour and they are great for insect bites, inflamed body parts and the likes. When we got our Covid shots and our arms were swollen and hot, those pillows brought them back to normal in two or three days.

Also, they're very good for rheumatic pain. In that case, though, they need to be warmed up in the microwave (I can look up the right settings for you, as I don't have a microwave), or in the oven first. My cousin's wife used them (warmed up) when the kids had ear aches, too.

Ah, okay! I've seen similar before but they're filled with corn instead...

That would be a blessing indeed!

Managed to finish redoing the puff stitch row and I am on the home stretch for reals now. But school is now out for the summer so getting things done is going to be an even bigger adventure.

Yep, that's the pain of all parents in school holidays: what to do with the kids?
