Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

As it would turn out I'd miscounted my done rows, so instead of announcing I got fifteen and sixteen done I get to announce I got sixteen and seventeen done :)

With the 18th lattice done I am this 🤏close to dragging myself over the two thirds mark!

So now i get to spend my week at my job instead :) lmao. Oh well, the cycle goes on!

Wow, well done! Much better to have more rows done than you thought rather than less.

I have completed the scallop seashells! The backstitch was very complicated, but it looks okay I think, although I half wish I'd picked a shade of brown instead of using black.


I've started the next piece, done some of the yellow on the border, but I spent half the afternoon trying to fix an audiocassette where one end of the tape had come adrift from the little reel inside. The little clip that was supposed to hold it in place had broken. So I dismantled the cassette, removed 5 screws, had bits falling out everywhere and the tape constantly trying to unravel, and managed to bodge a replacement clip, but I don't know yet if it will work. My clip might keep the reel from turning properly...

The reel isn't turning easily so I think I need to go bask in there... my 'clip' is sticking up a bit.

Had to take a few stitches off yet another pajama bottom that I can't close anymore to make it a bit wider. This one can't get the drawstring treatment but at least I can wear it a bit longer anyway?
