Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Not much cross stitch left on the pig now, and then I'll just have the backstitch to do and another set of designs will be finished!


I spent half the morning shifting stuff around to make space for the rest of my audiocassette storage cases, so I can get at the tapes. Now I have even more tapes to listen to. And I found the two I've been desperate to listen to, so I had those on this afternoon =D

I have scrapes and bruises now, and I probably pulled a few muscles, but I'm glad I did it. I woke up early and thought, damn it, I'm going to find those tapes even if I have to move every single storage cabinet and go through them all! So I did, and I found even more than I was looking for. =)

Thank you! I started playing tapes a few weeks back while working on the Stonehenge cross stitch, but I knew I had more, and it was nagging at me that I wasn't sure where some of them were. Now I think I've managed to corral most of them. I have concerts taped off the radio as well, so those will be fun to listen to =)

The pig has not been the most exciting project, but will hopefully look cute once he's finished.

Oooh tapes! I had a whole massive collection as a kid but they disappeared over time. Yay for finding lost ones, and for cross stitch progress!

I was looking this morning to see what's on some of them, and there are a load with NO indication whatsoever. I have found a ton of concerts, and the Babylon 5 soundtrack, plus a few tapes labelled Songs from a B5 world... Curious what they're about, but I do know who sent them to me years ago. There are some pre-recorded tapes too, but most are taped off the radio or from records, either my own or sent to me by friends in Australia and the Netherlands.

Forty-nine minutes on the cardi while listening to the audiobook of All Systems Red: The Murderbot Diaries. If I'm reading the track right, I have about 33 minutes left in the book, which I might get to later today but definitely tomorrow, as the book is due back on Monday.

But now I am going to attempt Alphi's tunic, at least for a while. I've decided yeah, it's a split hem with another panel in back. Wish me luck!

Well done on cardi progress, and good luck with Alphi's tunic. I'm sure you'll be able to figure out the best way to do it. From the picture, it looks like the back is probably the same as the front.

Weaving tails in while doing scales. Ive got one locked down and the other not so much, but it gets to be carried/woven on the next row so all according to plan.

I've been working on crocheting a cat bed, as usual. I hoped I'd be able to finish it today, but nope. I'm approximately half way through.

Just one. I donate the others to rescues, shelters, and sell or gift the occasional one to friends who request one.

I am working on bed #1007. I still haven't calculated how many will add up to 52, which is my goal for 2025.

Managed some crocheting earlier while the kiddos were playing. Hoping to do more tonight while I listen to the end of an audiobook. Now that I’m on row 41/55 it feels like the end of this blanket is in sight.

Tonight we made grilled cheese sandwiches with the pretzel bread. Second only to comte on sourdough. \o/

My neighbour gave me some homemade strawberry jam, so I'm on cheese and jam sandwiches at the moment. Yum!
