Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: We all probably have multiple WiPs, but which of yours has been hanging around longest, waiting to be finished?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Backstitch can be either a chill ending to the project or completely annoying. Hopefully the first.

Yay for the completed pony! And I'm glad you had a great time yesterday.

You are racing through this project. I love the way backstitch usually makes the picture pop to life as you complete each section.

Congratulations! Way to go! That's so awesome!

Lots of house project stuff. Lots of chores.

I cleaned up my project basket, added any yarn for more trivets, but do not feel like working on that. Have some yarn scraps and will try to make some headphones covers. (Very quick).

Quick-to-make projects are always handy. :)

Yes, I should make a few of these. I'm down to one set of covers for 2 headsets (they are identical).

I had SO many ball bands from the dishcloth cotton in the bottom.

I hope it all comes together for the mini project.

So far so good. The first one fit.

Headphone covers sound super cute! I have seen patters for cute fruit ones that one day I'd like to try. Kudos to you for cleaning up your basket!

Not the original one, but still. Picture and the YouTube vid for the new design as well as (boring) details can be accessed through my latest Lj entry:

And what's more important, I can vary the size according to my needs.

Looks pretty good, and an excellent use of the paper.

I've been sitting on that quilling paper for at least a decade. So glad to have found a fitting use for it!

After all the frustration with the toilet rolls, it was a relief.

Spent a lovely morning at a candle making workshop - it was fun and we had a good time mixing our own blends of scent. We left the candles there so they could set, but they'll be dropped off at mine on Monday - fingers crossed the scent works out when I start to burn it. I went with a mix of orange blossom, bergamot, lavender, sea salt and just a hint of pine in the background.

I've spent the last few days working on the scrapbooking project - picking the next couple of steps photos and arranging for them to be printed (ouch! That's the really expensive bit of the project). I've now finished writing about the time in Mongolia, just a little overview of my feelings about that part of the journey. Next bit is to write about the train journey to China and then onto the time and experiences I had while I was there.

Fingers crossed for the candle. The combination sounds good to me.

Ooooh candlemaking sounds like so much fun! Have always wanted to try it (candle dipping one time at a historical display notwithstanding). Yay for scrapbook progress!

Have a migraine (boo) but I think some crocheting will help me sleep, so I'm going to get one done and listen to a bit of an audiobook before bed. Have downloaded a pattern for a new blanket pattern that I want to try for my other friend who's having a baby.

Sewing on the grey wool hood continues with posts and pics on my page. I may not have even mentioned I stared this? I fell off a ladder 2 days ago, so have been a little slow to update things.

I'm often up ladders. I have a lot of very tall book cases and there's storage boxes which sit on top of them. I had a rental house inspection, so I needed to store stuff...
