Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I've knitted 6 more rows of daughter's hat, which is now about half way up the main part, although I may make it a bit longer to give it a deeper turn up.

Thank you.

As a 90s child, the bigger turn up the better on hats, jeans, and overshirts :D

I love me a long brim. Lots of flexibility! (The Enting has stolen one of my hats—I never turned up the brim, but he does and it fits him O_O

Well, despite best intentions I didnt manage to make ten scrapbag babies in a row as I mentioned in my last comment, as the new Pacific Rim anime provided some very fun character designs that required breaking out new beanies for.

I did just make one that used leftovers from eight different beanies, including a bunch of tiny faces I wasn't sure i'd find a home for and a couple of random leftover scraps of fabric.

I also made an easter-inspired three-headed jackalope and rabbit-chick - literally the Tuesday after the Easter weekend.

Thank you! Of course, with four faces he requires four tiny kisses before he can go to bed, but that's life,I guess...

You are very talented and creative. I love all of these and the names. Just wonderful.

:D thank you! To my shame, there are still six of them that don't have names yet - I've taken to moving them around the flat in the hope that something will come to me. Poor little dudes!

I managed to a bit of gardening over the weekend (mostly just more weed removal). The basil I tried to rescue is improving.

I did some cross stitch the last two nights, which has almost certainly been good for my mental/emotional health.

Yay for cross stitch. It's looking good.

Thanks ^_^ I’m eyeing a crewelwork embroidery kit as well, partially because I’m keen to apply some of my spinning wool energy to embroidery thread and I’ve never used (or even seen in person) crewel wool before.

(Relatedly, I enjoyed reading Crewel World. Thanks for bringing the series to my attention ^_^)
