Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: We all probably have multiple WiPs, but which of yours has been hanging around longest, waiting to be finished?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I wanted to do something simple and small after finishing my blanket marathon, so I found a pattern for a scrappy garter stitch vest. It's in Aran gauge and is knitting up pretty quickly -- I'm already halfway done with the back. I'm using some leftovers in my stash along with some homespun I got from a friend. It's been very relaxing so far.

That vest sounds like a fun project! Glad it's going well and that it's relaxing.

finished the fourth row of scales and did about 1/3rd of the lattice for the fifth row.

A third piece of the black fuzzy crane manifested and I gotta be honest I don't think I have enough 😭. That's okay though I have an excuse for another ball of yarn

Look at you go! You've got this! Sorry you don't have enough yarn for the current crane, but yay for more yarn!

It depends on how it works up because i have to eyeball it/its free hand but my math puts it at 27 rows.

Im sure its less, like 22-24, but still. A lot!

Wrist is hurting so no crocheting today. Did help bake cookies with the kiddos and a friend on a play date as an early birthday celebration for my eldest, who turns six tomorrow. Made some little origami letters as thank-you notes for the post-baby shower, and also got all of kiddo's birthday presents wrapped so she can wake up in the morning and find them, like a mini-Christmas. Head still hurts but not nearly as bad as yesterday so I'll take it.

Thank you! She’s torn into her presents and is having a great day so far!

Best wishes to the birthday girl - and speedy recovery for your various body parts. You're a real trooper to get so much done in such a condition.

Scarf is still going well, however the mending I did this week will have to expanded a bit. I also have alterations I wish to make but for that I have to first find my stitch-remover that is... /vague gesture/ most probably lying on the ground having rolled around/between the piles of books at the feet of my couch, piles that have grown too heavy and slightly too unstable to search around without first getting carefully un-piled and moved.
