Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: We all probably have multiple WiPs, but which of yours has been hanging around longest, waiting to be finished?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I got the part 1 to the other wing finished and then got mad about the seam ripper again and took a nail clipper to the stitches on the cushion. So that's roadblocks finally over even if I still don't have the seam ripper.

It's still gonna be a bit before I have the will to do the cushion, but like, fixed it! And I gotta keep moving on togekiss.

Kudos to you for fixing it even without the seam ripper! Good luck with togekiss!

I had a very frustrating baking project today, so not much energy was left for anything else. But I did continue the felt rest processing: worked a bit on my blues. Not much, but every little bit helps, right?

Sorry it was frustrating. Every bit really does help though!

In retrospect, I do have two really old WIPs, one a scrap yarn granny square baby blanket from...2013? And a bobbin lace medallion from before my first daughter was born, so...2018? 2019? Might finish the blanket once I've rounded up enough scrap yarn. As for the bobbin lace...bobbin lace is such a child-unfriendly hobby (not that little kids can't learn it, but kids getting into the bobbins is such a disaster), so I will probably wait years yet to give it a try. Got some letter scrapbooking done. Gonna try to get a start on the next tatted hanky, as getting it started will be key, and maybe I'll even try the punch needle project!

I've never tried punch needle before! Let us know how it goes if you go that route :)

Gah I was like half-way done with my scarf when I decided that actually I would rather have a bit of a different colour at one of the ends, but as I have very little yarn in said colour I couldn't end with it, I had to place it at the start, and I couldn't figure out a way to crochet-sew two halves together cleanly so instead... I'm frogging and redoing it all. Yay. That'll sure keep me occupied. It'll allow me to strategically place my remaining blended-merinos wool where the scarf touches my neck and have more acrylic at the ends where it matters less, too.

I made a pressed flower bookmark with some program leftovers :) https://yarnandglue.dreamwidth.org/12760.html

Thank you! It was very satisfying for such a small project :)
