Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

So, I ripped back everything I'd knitted on the pink sweater, cast on for the larger size instead (it's only a difference of 6 stitches), and ribbed 8 rows so I'm back where I was before, just with extra stitches.

Now my thumb hates me. Stupid arthritis.

Glad you've got back where you were - and at least it wasn't too long before you realised you needed to. 6 stitches makes such a difference.

8 rows was enough for me to decide I could use the extra stitches. Now to continue and see how it goes once I'm onto the pattern. =)

Argh for having to frog, but at least eight rows of rib is not *too* much to have to redo.

I needed 8 rows before I could judge properly. There had to be enough give in the ribbing so that when I stretched it out across two needles I could get a clear idea of how wide the bottom of the sweater would be. I wasn't too bothered by having to start again. Now I can just get on with it.

I hope I will be anmd it won't end up to big. I knit the way I write, by the seat of my pants. No test swatches or anythung. I like to live dangerously ;)

Yay! It's looking good, those are some interesting two-tone leaves at the bottom, and the flowers look like roses to me.

The two tone leaves are supposed to be a snake plant or possibly mother-in-law's tongue. And the flowers are indeed roses.

That sounds right.

My mother-in-law's tongue has recently gone to the great compost heap in the sky. The lack of heat in the middle of winter didn't agree with it. I tried to save it, but couldn't.

We once killed one with heat - it turned out living next to the toaster was not a good idea!

It got toasted. They're not as hardy as they look.

It is knitted. It is Kitchenered. It is stitched together. It is blocking! I think I will catch the little garter edge up into an official hem around the bottom, because that's the way it seems to want to be, and then it will be done, hurrah!
