Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another marathon stitching session and I'm about two thirds of the way along the bottom half of the design. I'm stitching as much as I can every day, but I also had to do laundry which took some time away from the stitching =(

Frigging chores always eat our valuable time! Still, you've done well today. How are your eyes dealing with the marathon sessions?

My eyes are doing okay, thanks to my magnifying glasses I wear over my regular glasses while stitching. I recharged them last night so I can use the LED light in them, which let me keep stitching a bit longer.

Today I continued processing my felt rests. Added small flower and leaf shapes to the geometric ones for more variety. This will take some time yet, considering how many felt rests there are, but I can do the cutting out in front of the telly, too, so I hope I'll have several boxes of such small parts eventually. After that, the actual decorating can begin.

Been having to fill in for a colleague at work this week, and given his position has a lot of emails and (unknown, for me) spreadsheet wrangling, my spoons this week have been uh, lacking. been making progress on the second sprite bit by bit in the evenings, just two colors on one side left and then I can assembly. hopefully I'll have it finished this weekend.

got the new (appropriate for cross stitch!) plastic canvas and a kit in the mail. no chance to use it yet, but I'm excited :) and yahoo, managed to find time to even send the bad canvas back

I now have a cat butt in front of my screen so I'll have to catch up on y'all's projects tomorrow, ahaha

Ooof, that's rough on you, but kudos for managing to continue work on your sprite!

I've been trying to catch up again with all the things. Completed a few little sewing jobs but tonight will attempt to cut some decorative oak leaf shapes on the bottom of a surcote for my nephew to wear to an event soon.

I went to a secondhand craft store yesterday and I got some raspberry pink cross stitch fabric. I've been trying not to buy any materials without a specific project in mind but it was $1 and too pretty to pass up :) Anyone have any ideas for cross stitch patterns that would look good on raspberry pink fabric?

The raspberry pink fabric is a gorgeous colour, I've got some too. Oddly enough, I've never used any of it... *grins* White flowers would probably look pretty, although the fabric might show through... I guess it's a case of finding a design in colours that would show up against the background.

Haha! I'll look and see if I can find a pattern that work well in white...

A unicorn maybe? Or a dragon in bold greens. Or a phoenix... The colour might lend itself well to mythological creatures. (Yes, I've ben brainstorming).
