Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

It's been a day. I got most of an hour outside cutting down more forsythia, but aside from that... cross stitch, cross stitch, and more cross stitch. I have less than 3 weeks to finish it and I haven't even completed a quarter yet. Today I managed about two square inches, but the world hates me so while I was stitching, a bunch of stuff at the top of the stairs decided to fall down the stairs for no reason. After I cleared that up, I did more stitching until I put my threaded needle to one side while I found my place on the chart, then couldn't find the needle and thread. By the tine I finally located it (poked into the toe of my sock), I'd run out of stitching time and had to go clean out the fire.

oh my, that's quite a day you had! Here's hoping things go better tomorrow. Great job on getting some cross stitch done!

Thank you! I made a fair bit of progress, but I will have to stitch whenever I can for the next couple of weeks. I should have started it a month ago. *sigh*

Sounds like a day indeed for reals. Sorry after all that you ran out of stitching time. But yay for good time in the yard!

Thanks. I did get quite a bit of stitching done, and I've done a bit this morning as well, but I still haven't completed the first quarter. The top half of the design should be faster to stitch, I hope, less fiddly at least, but this bottom part has so many greens, three purples, at least that many reds, and some other colours.... Eeep!

did some scales but honestly just busy today, in a thousand of those innocuous little ways. Be here, get this for later, dogs out dogs in do it twice more and then once again, suddenly times out!

I'd say insidious little time thiefs but tbh I was due for a day like it, bc you can't have them all.

Well done for managing a few scales amidst the minutiae of daily life!

Hope you do eventually locate your seam ripper, or get a new one.

I always have a shopping list, but I always forget to look at it and then don't get the thing I need the most, so I feel you on that!

Well, I ran into a snag with Alphi. The way I have the pattern written, you do K2togs for neck decreases. My yarn wasn’t cooperating though, so I decided to do SSKs instead, but then I realized that the SSKs wouldn’t stack properly. Rip and redo! The tension got all messed up from ripping back and I’ll need to redistribute the yarn some because right now, one side of his face has some loose stitches and looks sloppy. But I’ve finished the neck decreases! So next step is shoulders, which I am probably going to start in a few minutes.

Ah, how annoying for you! Good luck redistributing the yarn to tighten the loose stitches. You're making great progress despite uncooperative yarn!

Yesterday was brutal. Was running on literally less than three hours of sleep, and by the end of the day I was exhausted past the point of sleeping, but I sat down and decided to crochet, and it helped, and finally I could sleep.

Managed part of a row on the star blanket today as well.
