Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: Do you change crafts with the season or stick to the same crafts year round?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Also did a few rounds on the purse. It's a paid pattern, but I can tell it hasn't been tech edited because I caught a blatant error in one of the rounds. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to message the designer or not. I'm also not sure how easy it will be to read the pattern - I took a peek at the instructions for the bag's body and my eyes, they swam. There IS a chart but it's kind of weird, so... we'll see. I'm kinda hoping to finish it this month for Nerdopolis but if I don't, I don't.

woo, weaving in ends the day after finishing a doily, you've defeated the forever-unfinished-last-step demon, that's very commendable!
paid patterns that have errors are the worst, even more when you can't know what kind of oddness the designer has in there before buying it. wishing you the best of luck with decoding it.

Good luck with the purse. It's annoying when a paid for pattern contains errors and is hard to read, but I hope you'll be able to figure it out.

finished all black on the sprite stitch I'm working on! now I can relax and mostly just paint in the rest of the colors without constantly counting and recounting where I'm at. there is very much a benefit in patterns that have very obvious inks in one color. I'm getting better at frogging but it's still not the mostly fun activity, ahah.
We're going to be hosting a little pride exhibition when pride month rolls around, and I'm starting to wonder if I should make anything for it. maybe if I figure out a small subtle pride pattern I could make as many keychains I could and give them out. so I'm gonna be rotating possible patterns for that now. would be very cool,

Have fun picking out keychains. :)

Little Pride keychains is an awesome idea! I hope you manage to work out a design and make some 🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈

Couple of rows, outside of jokes, which isn't nothing but when your widest bit of the project is 18 stitches that's negligible ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
For the weeks questions is a little it of everything all the time, except scarves which unlock in October so I hopefully get them done by Christmas.

Still, a couple of rows is more than no rows!

Scarves are a good project for winter.

If I do that edging pattern again I will probably alter the spacing a bit. That way the lace will look less crowded...and also go a bit faster. But it's all wrapped up in tissue paper with a card for the recipient, and with like a week to spare, so I feel pretty good about it. Think I'm going to try a parasol next...

Good luck with your parasol!
