Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: Do you change crafts with the season or stick to the same crafts year round?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Sorry for the absence. I really planned to drop by and at least fire the others on, but the last couple of days were really hectic and exhausting. Today I got as far as laying out the fabric for the third attempt on my pincushions - only to put everything away a few hours later because I just couldn't bring up the energy to cut out the pieces.

But I managed a little bit of writing in the afternoon, so not everything is lost.

Fact is, I actually like checking in each day and see what the others are doing, even if I haven't done anything. But the last two days were truly horrid.

You had a big rush with the baskets. Sorry it's hectic there too!

Yay for writing! Sorry such a tiring day.

Wow, that's a lot of hard work you've done! And lessening the unfinished pile of arm warmers is a good thing, too; takes some pressure off you.

I think refraining from making new ones for a while might help. *g*

Today I'm planting because the weather is finally clement.

Also, we're getting the outdoor spigot fixed so we'll have an outdoor water source again! :D 3q3q3q!!! I am so excited by that. Yes, I'll still have to drag the hose around to where it will reach, but once I've done that I'll have has much water as I want coming out it, which means I can deeply water places and not have to do it every day. Progress!

I'm still mulling over what other outdoor crafting I need to do this season. We're trying to get a landscaper out here to install a greenhouse, but that hasn't come together yet.

Well, I managed to finish one box of plants today, so that's progress.

Current word is that the greenhouse will arrive later this month.

Good luck with planting! And yay for the spigot getting repaired.

Thanks. I am excited and hopeful. :D

Finished another bobbin on the tarting after playing a bit of thread chicken and resorting to unorthodox techniques to get to a good starting point, and got the bobbin refilled. Hollowed out a bit more of the book. Hoping to tat a bit more tonight after the kiddos are in bed. Now that my mother-in-law has departed the real test begins, but also I can work on Mother’s Day gifts without the surprise getting spoiled.

Wishing you strength for the real test.

White wool has been bought and knitting bottom ribs has resumed and should get finished today. Switching between said ribs on a circular needle and a scarf's stocking stitch on regular needles had we stop pause and wonder for a few seconds what I was doing with my hands so I'll focus on the jumper and put the scarf back on hold.
