Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've actually finished all the egg baskets, including their handles. So, tomorrow there'll be painting all 21 of them. *shudders* Still, it has to be, so that they can dry and be filled during the weekend. I want them packed and ready to be delivered for Tuesday, because next week promises to be hectic.

That would be good indeed. I'm two weeks behind schedule with this project because the friend who brought me the dratted toilet rolls didn't come to choir practice for those two weeks, so I'm a bit in a tight place.

We’ll see, but I am cautiously optimistic.

More work outside, more progress made, almost twice as much as yesterday, although the two huge knuckles of bramble root are still there. Not sure how to deal with those. The roots go down between two slabs that can't be moved, or at least not easily, because the edge of the greenhouse is on them. The root knuckles ate each around 4 inches across in both directions. I could try getting a saw in between the root and the paving slab, but sawing like that would be difficult.


Anyway, if yesterday was the day of the insulation stuff, today was the day of roofing felt. Tiny pieces the size of a fingernail, up to pieces 4 or 5 inches across. Still haven't got the biggest piece out. It's a double thickness strip around 2 or 3 inches wide, and I've unearthed about 18 inches of it but it still won't come out. I'm also worrying that I'm killing all my honeysuckle, because most of it is rooted along where I'm clearing. I've shoved two rooted pieces in a pot and moved another root to a better place, so I'm hoping some will survive, but I've got more that |'ll have to cut off.

What a frustrating job you have! I hope at least some of your honeysuckle will survive. *fingers crossed*

I have some elsewhere, so I can take cuttings, but I like this up near the house, it fills the world with fragrance on warm evenings.

It's nice being out in the sunshine. And I enjoy gardening, even this kind. It's satisfying when I conquer a tricky bit.
