Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Still with the aching hands after another day working on the steps and patio area. Two thirds of the top step is clear and about the same amount of the patio. I cut a lot of brambles and ivy. The holly sticking out of the hedge needs cutting right back before I clear any more of the step or that side of the patio, but I'm getting there slowly. I'm also worn out.

I am, and it's only a small part of the garden but it's taking forever. One day maybe I'll be able to sit out there and enjoy it, but not yet.

Yes, but this is only one of the areas I want to get sorted this year... It's taking longer than I'd hoped.

Neither am I really. Two hours working in the hot sun... And it's not even really hot, only 14C, but it's a corner that really catches the sun.

I'm doing my best. Another week of good weather, then a week of rain (possibly) when I might get a smidge of rest... We'll see.

Thanks. Still a lot to do before the area is reclaimed for use, but I'm progressing.

That's so pretty! I love it. RIP Rodney McKay though lol. That's always what I think of when I see lemons. A fictional character's rare food allergy. Do you do a fancy journal entry for every day?

Thank you! I have tried to get into daily journaling (like writing. I just don't care about my own feelings and thoughts that much! lol) but it really isn't my thing so I am filling up the blank pages (there are an awful lot) with collage and stickers.

I put up the temporary fence to deter bunnies from the asparagus. Realized as I was setting up that I hadn't bought any stakes so had to use sticks. I also pulled some grass out of the main iris bed.

Will probably work on the doily after supper. Finished round 5 last night.

Must protect the asparagus from bunnies... I hope the sticks will hold. Bunnies can be very determined.

You're making great progress on the doily! Enjoy relaxing with it later.

Managed to get in a bit of tatting. Was hoping for some knitting or crocheting as well, but it didn't pan out. Maybe later. Still, some crafting is better than nothing. There's no deadline for the knitted sweater scarf or the crochet circle shawl, but I am itching to finish the both of them anyway. Maybe so I don't feel guilty before I start a new project lol.

I'm still trying to catch up my last catch up. I had the book launch on Saturday which was fantastic mostly (I'll do a friends only post about that later with the issues). My family came to stay, so a lot of time was spent this previous week making room for them. Lots of things coming up the next few weeks and I really just need more books. Back to work on the squirrel banner tomorrow I hope!
