Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

It rained overnight, and although today was dry, even sunny at times, there was a cold wind, so I took the day off from gardening, placed the pocket of my jacket, and managed 12 rows.

Glad you have the pocket in. It's ridiculously windy here so I also didn't do any gardening tasks.

Wind makes gardening difficult, and often unpleasant if it's cold. Better to stay indoors.

I bet it felt good to take a break and do some knitting again. :)

It did, but I fear I will not get this jacket finished until autumn as the garden takes over, and also because knitting makes me hot, which is great in winter when it's cold, but not in spring and summer when I'm already hot.

Thanks! Should be back tomorrow, but I don't know if it will be windy again. It's March though, so chilly winds aren't unexpected.

I'm on row 8 of the doily. Not sure if I will do more today. It's getting to the point where the rounds take longer and I hate to stop for the night halfway through one.

I meant to take donations to the Habitat store today. I toodled off in the truck, only to come over the hill and find that the bridge is under construction. Very frustrating!

Yay, doily progress! Yes, I can quite understand not wanting to stop halfway around.

That does sound very frustrating, a waste of your time. I hope they get the bridge sorted quickly.

Sorry for going POV again. I had a few stressful days, complete with disastrous baking and a completely distracted mindset. But today I finally iced my non-disastrous cookies, so perhaps tomorrow I'll be sane enough to make a few more egg baskets. *fingers crossed*

I did some painting this afternoon, when I got back from the wool shop. There’s probably 1 or 2 more sessions left as I spent about 3 hours this afternoon on it. I came home with three patterns and what I need to make one of them. It’s a ‘t-shirt’ - stripey short sleeved top . There is a second pattern for a cardigan on there which is an option for later. The other two patterns are for toy rabbits and butterflies that I hope to be able to use a bunch of leftovers of previous projects to make.

Working on the cushion cover now.

Yesterday evening a friend's friend invited me to join her little knitting circle at a local café, yay!! I did maybe two rows on my jumper before realizing I'd lost my stitch count so instead I switched to my current scarf project; this I could still knit straight while drinking beer and listening to gossip without fear of messing up yarn-overs or the like.
