Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

More work in the garden, clearing away the last buddleia branches and cutting back some brambles and nettles. Tomorrow and most of next week is supposed to be wet, so today was my last chance for gardening for at least a few days.

I have worked hard, so hopefully my hands will have the strength to knit!

I finally figured out a decent method for picking up stiches and now I'm working on the body of my chicken plushie.

I'm still figuring out what I can use for stuffing. I would prefer to use scraps or something I have. I don't have fiberfill. I'll worry about that later but ideas are welcome.

As for stuffing... yarn scraps, old nylons... I repurposed the contents of an old pillow that split to restuff some old stuffies - polyester filling, not feathers.

The second jumper is going well. And I started yet another scarf--actually remaking one of the first ones I did and stupidly lost a couple of months ago (ironically, when I brought it along to discuss datails why a friend would wanted me to knit them the same one.)

Yay for making good progress on the jumper! How annoying to lose a scarf and have to remake it though. Good luck with both projects.

I continue to slog through the border on the blanket that I was going to finish in Feb. Today's goal (not achieved) was to finish the fifth row - at least I'm half way around now.

*cheers you on* You can do it! I know some parts of crafting can be tedious and annoying, but it will be worth the effort!
