Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: Do you remember the first thing you made in school?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

be helped.
Did you see the final? Not the result I was expecting.

I had a feeling Anton would be the first out, because he's been in so many skate-offs, the public just weren't behind him, but I really expected Michaela to win. That said, Sam's Pink Panther routine was my favourite skate of the night, so much fun!

I also did a bit of work on the dreamcatcher cross stitch that I need to finish which is another WIP. I need to decide on another project to work on while I finish the dreamcatcher as I can’t see me working just on it as I’m not in the mood for all the counting of spaces and then just a few stitches in a colour before I have to change colour or area. It’ll look good when it’s finished but there’s very few solid bits to work on and sometimes it’s nice to have something with solid chunks so that I can listen to a book or have half an eye, so to speak, on something on the TV.
I have a blanket that I started and need to work on but I don’t like the yarn - it’s stripes of colour and I’m kind of making it up as I go along by deciding what colour or stitch to use for the next row(s) but the yarn is not comfortable to work with - very acrylic. I also have yarn for a cardigan/sweater and a hat neither of which I’ve started yet.

It does get annoying when it's just a few stitches here and there in different colours. I hope you can find a suitable project to work on. Sounds like you have several choices. Good luck!
Some yarns just don't have pleasant texture.

Having multiple projects to work on depending on your available mental energy is always a good idea. I bet you will figure something out soon!

I hope you find another project that suitable. Having multiple projects to be able to switch between is good.

The time change is a sneaky time thief.

Definitely best not to use sharp implements when you're tired.

After dinner, I knitted on both tracking shawls, doing the rows that represent March 1-7.
Yesterday, I agreed to go to a charity rock painting event with someone from the library workshops. We have to supply our own rocks. So... It looks like I will be rock hunting.
I also partially caught up with the sketchbook project things I was behind on. I did #14, which was a spring scen with a triangle house and pink trees and #15 which was painting lupines, both with watercolor. I didn't do #16 because the supplies I had out won't work and I can't find my watercolor colored pencils, which might work.

(However it is just possible that I've been using the wrong size needles from the start but I don't feel like frogging everything I've done on that jumper and start all over again. I'll have to think carefully about all that mess first.)

Yay for pretty yarn!
