Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: Do you remember the first thing you made in school?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Put the trivet aside because I'm second and third guessing myself on amounts, working on dish scrubbies instead.

I finished organizing the plumbing stuff yesterday, the basement is really coming together.

It is always good to have an ersatz project when you get stuck with the main one. Yay for basement success!

Totally understand taking a break from one project and working on another. Good luck with the basement!

I've put the covering on the ring book meant for the recipe collection and tried to find the candle-decorating kit I had bought at least a decade ago at the "Flying Tiger" shop. I failed. So I'll have to think of a different method to decorate those Easter candles. They are too tiny to use wax plates, so I might turn to stickers instead. I'm not happy. I so wanted to give that kit a try!

IKR? The problem is the limited storage space; I squeeze things into every tiny hole or slot I can find, and then I have no idea where they've ended up. That's why I've been planning to sell/give away all those books I haven't touched for 20 or so years; that way I might get things slightly more organized. *sigh*

Oh no! I'm sorry you couldn't find the kit (I feel that deeply; bought a needle punch kit recently and it has just...vanished). I hope the candle decorating goes well and that the kit turns up soon!

Also yay for getting the book covered! That sounds fun.

Fortunately, the fabric I used and the double-sided tape chose to cooperate. Otherwise it could have been a hot mess. I hope your needle punch kit turns up soon, too.

I just ended up falling asleep on the sofa last night and did not manage to work on cube popup books. Tonight I finished the bookmark (twice as long as the ones I usually make per my mother's request) but while I worked on it I watched a tutorial for a new type of bookbinding I want to try, so I feel pretty productive!

Now *that* is multitasking!
