Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've started the raglan shaping, only done 8 rows today because I also had laundry to do, but the shaping is underway...

It's Aran yarn and 5mm needles, so it's grown FAST! Hoping to get the back finished in a few more days and then start the sleeves.

This stage will go faster as each row has fewer stitches. Then I'll start the first sleeve. I want to do the sleeves first so I can see if I'll have enough yarn for pockets and a collar. If not, I'll have to do without.

I've worked a bit on Emma, the second baby elephant. Her frame is now properly stitched together; tomorrow I'll attach the ears and the eyes and probably do the stuffing and the tail, too, if I have the time. Not sure; tomorrow will be a busy day. But I'll try my best.

Baby sounds extra cute. If you can do even the tiniest but on a busy day, it is still good.

I'm sure Emma will be patient if you don't have time tomorrow to get so far. You're still making really fast progress.

As I mentioned before, it's an easy pattern. Even so, it's a lot of work, so I'm relieved over my progress.

My shoulder pain finally got the best of me. :( After a sleepless night, I high-tailed myself to an urgent care clinic to have it looked at. Waiting for meds to be filled, and I have a referral for orthopedics (and possibly neurology as well).

Because of the pain, I really haven't been able to craft much. I just did a round on a doily, which wasn't too bad but one round was enough for now. So much for my big plans for this first month of Nerdopolis. No way I can finish the chicken in time. I think I might try to finish one of the legwarmers, though (we can submit singles of items that usually come in pairs). But mostly I am sitting around feeling sorry for myself.

Doilies aren't the best for high pain times, no. If you can make some progress on the easiest project it can at least keep you occupied.

That sucks! *hugs carefully* I hope the meds will help and that your referral appointments will give you answers and help you get back to normal so you can craft. In the meantime, just don't overdo anything.

I'm barely getting anywhere with crafting (I'll do a row or half a row) as it is cold and all my chores seem to take more energy to pull off. I have been reading a lot though.

Cold does seem to sap energy, but at least you can snuggle in and read!

There are negative fahrenheit numbers coming up in the next few days. Hibernation seems called for.

Husband was kind enough to buy me the crochet cotton I need while he was out running errands (in an awful snowstorm), but while he was gone I added more rows to my star blanket. Am on to the last color and have listened to podcasts and an audiobook.

Sounds like you've made good use of your snow day! Your husband was brave to venture forth in that, but sometimes errands can't wait for better weather. Yay for crochet cotton!
