Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've finished Lilly the baby elephant (pic's coming up when the other one is completed, too).
Head count of the herd: 4 adults, 1 baby, another baby in the making. *g*

The thing I cannot resist buying is a cool-looking pattern. I probably have more patterns than I will be able to make in my lifetime. But on the slim chance I’ll make it, I have to have it, right?

In better news, I finished the placemat! Have pivoted away from the fancy collar and will be making some (quicker and simpler) gothic spiderweb gloves, but I didn’t have the crochet cotton I need so I haven’t started yet, and instead have put a couple of rows on my scrap star blanket, which is a decently mindless and repetitive pattern so I could also watch research videos on YouTube for a fic I am working on. Multitasking for the win!

Well done on finishing the placemat. Good luck with the gloves, once you get your crochet cotton. At least your blanket benefited from your enforced delay on other projects.

Wow, you've been busy! And if a cool-looking pattern makes you happy, I say go for it. We all need to give ourselves little treats - nobody else would!
