Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I managed another 4 rows late last night to complete the fifth pattern repeat, then I was examining what I've knitted so far, making sure all my cables were going in the right direction, I found a dropped stitch in one of the honeycomb pattern panels, all the way back at the start of the second pattern repeat, or the end of the first one, it's hard to tell. No way am I undoing all that work though, I caught it with a safety pin and pinned it in place, I'll have to get in there once I have an odd scrap of yarn at the end of a ball (still on the first ball) and do some stitching on the reverse side to secure it and close the small hole, which is what drew my attention to it. It shouldn't show once it's fixed, it's only a couple of inches at most from the bottom on the back, but I'm annoyed.


Still, I've managed another pattern repeat today, and I might see if I can do a bit more while Dancing on Ice is on, or later, when it's the Super Bowl... I usually watch the first half at least, I shall see.

Frustrating when something like that happens but you have it in hand. Hope you enjoyed DoI tonight. I was relieved Anton went through as I thought he did really well.

Yes, I can sort it, but I'm still annoyed with myself.

I did enjoy it, and I'm glad Anton is still in, but I'm disappointed to lose Chris just when he was starting to get good. I didn't really want anyone to go out, they were all so good tonight.

Mum voted for the red flower eyes, and she was right: they look good. In exchange, the back of poor Lola is a bit... well, wavy, no idea why, but I think she's cute nonetheless.

Making a template and pre-measuring all the folded sections was definitely a good idea, so when it came time to cut and glue fancy paper I didn’t have to try to figure out all the measurements, could just cut and go. It’s not nearly as pretty as all the fancy painted ones from YouTube tutorials but hoarding all those stickers from K-pop albums has finally paid off.

I think it is very pretty. You can never know when your hoarded goods come in handy. At least that's my excuse for keeping them. *g*

It's a smallish latch hook rug (50 cm x 38 cm or 20 in x 15 in if you prefer imperial measurements) of 3 Christmas Gnomes on snow against a background of snowflakes and sky
