Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Still no pattern, I'll give it one more day and then put in for a refund.


More writing done, but no crafting unless doing an online jigsaw puzzle counts.

No, If it doesn't come tomorrow I'll try to find another copy online, my heart is set on this one. In the meantime, I could start knitting an Aran sweater while I try to get the jacket pattern. If I can tear myself away from writing for the ficathon.

At present, aside from my usual prompt communities, I'm playing around at threesentenceficathon, which is great fun. You could drop by and fill some prompts if you wanted to get some quick words written. It doesn't have to be tree sentences. I think it will run for a while longer, and even when it closes for new prompts, people can still write for the existing prompts. I have written so much!

It looks like my sample survived the test-wash unharmed so I should be able to process with the jumper and not be afraid of laundry fucking up its wool once I'm done?

I don't have any crafting resolutions really, but I do want to weave a blue wall-hanging I have been planning for a while. I just never seem ti get to it. I also have a collage planned, in an old frame I have that used to hold a mirror (that I broke without meaning to).

So far this year I have only been journaling.

No actual crafting done today; I had errands to run in the middle of the day, which is really impractical timing-wise. But Lolek the rag doll was a great success with my (ex-)colleagues and the kids at our art teacher's crafting workshop. I think I'll work tomorrow on the girl doll before I'd give his cap a try. Some of the girl doll's parts are still half-finished and don't require much brainpower to complete, so that will be both relaxing and productive.
